Elevating Life in the Disability Family
Our Mission: Inspiring individuals and families living with disabilities to discover a new vision for their future.
Imagine a place where disability is not what defines you or your family. Lift Disability Network is that place!
Each person and family impacted by disability has a unique story. No matter what the disability – developmental, intellectual, mobility or a result of chronic illness or pain – Lift Disability Network comes alongside to love and to inspire you to discover a new vision for your future. We help families and individuals move past the loneliness, poverty, helplessness and hopelessness disability can create.
Throughout the year, Lift provides camps, community events and family services that elevate life for families and individuals impacted by disability. Lift Disability Network is a place where the disability community comes together to discover opportunity, faith, fun and a real sense of community for your entire family unit.
Lift Disability Network is a nonprofit 501C3, faith-based organization. Services are available to families without regard to creed/beliefs.
Our Story

At the age of twenty months, the family of Jim Hukill was informed he had a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy and that they should expect a life of limitations. However, today many of those restrictions are now far behind him. Jim has rolled his wheelchair past one barrier after another and the result is a schooled life in overcoming limits. Likewise, through their years of marriage, Rhonette Hukill has become equally skilled in juggling the affairs of maintaining a home while overseeing the care of her husband. Together, this remarkable couple has found themselves at the cutting edge of the disability community.
Before their marriage in May 1994, Jim and Rhonette began to explore available services that would assist them in developing a strong foundation for their marital future. After much research, the Hukill’s were deeply disappointed in the resources available. Equally alarming was the escalating number of broken homes within the disability community; 80% of families that encounter disability issues break up, and disability impacts 20% of the American population. This shocking discovery led them to launch Eleos – The Care Network, Inc., a ministry of hope, in November 1998.
In November 2006, Eleos launched Lift Disability Network. This program expansion and organizational restructure was designed by Eleos to Elevate Life in the Disability Family. Lift Disability Network aids the disability family with a suite of programs that include camping, monthly events and family services. Services are available to families in need without regard to creed/beliefs. Lift Disability Network is a community where the disability family is embraced, encouraged, and empowered. An intersection where helplessness meets hopefulness…a place of healing for wounded souls…and a connection to faith for a better life.

Founded in Christian Faith, Lift Disability Network believes:
- The Bible is the complete, perfect, and authoritative Word of God.
- There is one true God, forever present in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Lord Jesus Christ is God’s precious, unique Son.
- We believe in His virgin birth; conceived by the Holy Spirit, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death; bodily resurrection; ascension into heaven; perpetual intercession for His people; and personal, visible return to Earth.
- In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide.
- Some day Jesus Christ will personally return and all people will be resurrected. Those who have a personal, authentic relationship with Christ will receive eternal life. Those who have not chosen a relationship with Christ will experience eternal separation from God.
- Man can experience authentic relationship with each other, and through Jesus Christ, believers are the body of Christ.
- God expressed His love to every individual through His son, Jesus Christ. His love is pure and receives all who come. This is the Good News.
